Our Virtual Y offers YMCA of Greater Rochester members a way to stay connected online, while staying safe at home. Members will have access to a wide variety of virtual group exercise classes and workouts. New classes will be debuting every week, and there will be a library of on demand classes and health and wellness tips.
Virtual YMCA is a member benefit for all YMCA of Greater Rochester members. Only participants with an active Y membership will be able to access Virtual YMCA.
To login, you will go to virtual.rochesterymca.org and enter your email address connected to your YMCA membership. Not sure if your email is current? You can update your email here. You will receive a confirmation email noting the update.
Please note: The login and confirmation process will need to be repeated for each new device. A device is considered a tablet, mobile phone, computer/laptop or internet-enabled tv.

View the Virtual YMCA Schedule. A link to the schedule will also appear on your local Y's Schedule page where you find your schedule for in-person classes. Schedules will be updated on a regular basis.
Y membership will give you access to the following on Virtual YMCA:
NEW DAILY CLASSES: You will be able to join new classes on the date and time they premier. Please note: if you join after they start, you will join the class already progress. You will be able to take the full class once it is complete.
PAST CLASSES: A library of past classes to take at your convenience.
HEALTH & WELLNESS: A library of exercises and tips to help you reach your fitness goals.

If you have a membership with more than one person, each person wanting to access Virtual YMCA will need to have a current and unique email address associated with their membership account.
No, registration is not required for Virtual YMCA classes. Simply log on at the start time listed to join. There is an option to add to your calendar if you'd like a reminder. Reminder, if you join a scheduled class that has already started, you will join in progress. You will be able to take the full class once it is complete.
Yes, you are able to stream classes to your TV if your TV has that capability. Each Smart TV and streaming device is different, so there is no single answer to how you can stream virtual content to your TV. You may be able to access a browser on the TV or cast to the TV. Please view this brief tutorial on how casting works on some of the more popular devices. We recommend searching for your specific television or device to find directions on how to setup casting.
